SSNs now required for new Service Providers (ME)

Action Required for All New Service Providers

Effective January 17, 2017, the Health PAS Online Portal (MIHMS) was updated to support the provider enrollment requirements of the Affordable Care Act, which mandates new provider screening and enrollment requirements that state Medicaid agencies must implement to comply with the federal law. Form Updates in Adori!

We’ve made some improvements

Don’t you love it when things get updated and are more helpful?  We do!  So you’ll notice some new Adori form updates.  We’ve updated the Summary of Performance document, and have placed it in the IEP Forms list. What’s great about this is that the form is editable and available to complete even if the IEP workspace isn’t! [Read more…]

Good news for Maine School Districts

The State of Maine Department of Education in collaboration with MAXIMUS Consulting Services has published information related to the calculation of indirect cost rates for Maine public schools.  The impact for districts “including indirect costs in discretionary grant application budgets may result in increased funding” according to the January 5, 2017 article posted on the Maine DOE Newsroom website. Parental Authorization Requirements

What is required for parental authorization before a public school district can submit school Medicaid claims for reimbursement?

Public school districts in most states are permitted to seek reimbursement for certain school-based services that are permitted under their state’s Medicaid plan.  The federal Department of Education has made it very clear that in order for the school district to re-disclose student information for purposes of Medicaid reimbursement the school district must obtain the consent of the parent or authorized guardian of the student.  [Read more…]
